Banged-up Giants practice with a few key players missing

The Giants were without six injured players at Wednesday’s practice and a seventh, Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, was absent for an unknown reason.

Rodgers-Cromartie was not listed on the injury report on Wednesday but was seen limping at times during Sunday’s loss to the Chargers.

Head coach Ben McAdoo will likely provide further information on Rodgers-Cromartie’s absence at his press conference later this afternoon.

Wide receiver Sterling Shepard, the only injured receiver to not have season-ending surgery, did not participate in practice due to a sprained ankle while safety Landon Collins (ankle) also did not practice.

Running back Paul Perkins (ribs), defensive end Olivier Vernon (ankle), linebacker Jonathan Casillas (burner) and center Weston Richburg (concussion) all worked out on the side.
